Christmas 2023

                                                                       2023 Christmas Newsletter January started with life in Kelowna mostly back to normal, Anne playing bridge with her group and I enjoying Senior Curling during weekdays and snowmobiling on the weekends. In February travelled to Palm Springs and San Diego for a winter break and a visit with friends. I was able to fly (passenger) in a WWII P51 Mustang for 40 minutes. A total once in a lifetime experience!   After a week back in Ktown it was off to Yellowknife for a visit with Lisa and family during their Spring Break.  Bill also drove from Edmonton for our short family reunion.  All too soon it was back home to Kelowna, On the May long weekend we joined Owen in Edmonton for a basketball tournament which his team took Bronze 😃. We had planned to continue on a AB/SK tour but the AB wildfire smoke forced us back to Kelowna.  We enjoyed good "smoke free" weather and took in car and airshows until the middle of Au

 2021 Newsletter This years "newsy" letter is a little shorter than previous years due to several reasons. January started with limited activities. Late last year Anne was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer.  After  the surgery she began 3 months Chemo starting in January.  Followed by 20 treatments of radiation.  There was also a 12 month immunotherapy she completed December 16!  There was a happy dance after all the treatments were completed! Anne continued to play crib and bridge online and I was able to go snowmobiling in our local mountain area (Graystokes Provincial Park). We both continued to join the YMCA online "senior" exercise programs. We postponed our Puerto Vallarta get-together trip in February due to Covid 19 and Anne's cancer treatments.  Anne's mom had a collection of 8MM movies from the '60's & '70's that we had converted to DVD... brought back many memories!
